Twenty two

Natural selection. Survival of fittest. Darwin proposed that best set of features would prevail in the given conditions. Even smallest advantage would be favourable in long run and eventually, it will out-compete its nearest rival. For example how Gmail prevailed over other mail providers. It is true for everything.
However, often in spite of this vigorous selection pressure, some organs (appendix in the intestine) survive in the course of evolution. I also see in the modern society or in companies some people survive or make it to top of the organization without true capabilities handle that position. Is it because they are not smart in the job in the hand but exceptionally smart to knock out the competition?
